This is kind of neat. Researchers are developing a plant that will change colour if there's a landmine in the soil. While not having any practical military use, it could be invaluable after combat when civilians take back the land that is covered in landmines. This may help the world get rid of landmines already in the soil. Now to stop them being put there....
This may sound controversial, but yay for China launching a manned space flight! I know it's probably scary for some due to it's possible military applications, but at least someone is still moving ahead with space exploration regardless of cost. Kinda funny how China and Japan are aggressively moving forward with such things, while other countries are cutting back. Maybe we'll get lucky and this will get others to start investing in space again.
