Apparently an Indiana congressman, Steve Buyer, came out today saying the US should consider using nuclear weapons in Afghanistan. Can we say idiotic? I can think of many reasons why it would be stupid to use them. Chief among them is the radiation fallout that would poison nearby countries that are nuclear powers themselves.
