Billing herself as the "naked politician" and using sexy posters and billboards showing her happily posing in underwear and blue tulle, 18-year-old Paula Gillon set out three weeks ago to win a seat on the North Shore City Council in Harbour, New Zealand's fourth most populous city. Her bold campaign, with a slogan that was a play on television's Naked Chef, paid off on Saturday, when she learned that Harbour voters had chosen her as one of their five councillors, ahead of 19 other candidates. She is the youngest person ever to be elected to a New Zealand city council. The US edition of Stuff Magazine is already after her to do a pictorial.

Hhhmmm

I AM 52% GEEK.

Nerd, Freak, Geek, Dweeb. Sound familiar?
That's okay, cause I will be the richest
person at my 15th year high-school reunion.
If a "con" isn't happening that weekend.

Driving today was interesting. On the way there the thunderstorms started. So while driving it was high winds, heavy rain, 100km/h and zero or near zero visibility. In a word, it was....FUN! I haven't been able to test my driving skills in awhile. It was fun to go through it all. It lasted like this for about half the distance to London, then visibility improved, but the storm continued. It was nice to see. I can never get enough of thunderstorms and blizzards.

There are things I like about the weather here so much so that I missed them while in NF. However, there are a lot of things about the weather out there that I like and miss. I'll really miss them next summer, that's for sure ;)
