Frustration

I have an arrangement to get a ride to and from school so I don't have to take the bus. Getting a ride into school has never been a problem. Getting home on the other hand, is a bit more difficult. Today is a perfect example. I was told that my ride would be at the school between 10 and 15 after 3. Okay, fine no problem. My co-operating teacher needed to talk to me about a few things so having a few extra minutes was fine by me. It went a bit long of course, but I was downstairs at 3:17. My ride wasn't there. Okay, fine they must be late. At 3:30 I went back inside to see if a message had been left for me. No message was there. Okay fine, I'll wait some more. Still nothing. At 3:40 I was offered a ride part of the way home and I accepted because waiting to take the bus from school would have made it so that I wouldn't get home until 6pm instead of the almost 5pm right now. I left the school with the fellow intern at 3:45pm and there was still no sign of my ride. I just got home and there is no message. This is kind of frustrating. For all I knew, no ride was coming and I never would have known. In fact, I'd have been waiting a long time for the next bus due to scheduling problems. I don't mind taking the bus, but I would have liked to have known ahead of time so I can plan ahead. For example, I want to go to the university to see about getting a few books. If I knew I wasn't to have a ride, I'd have gone up there, got the books and then went home by bus. But the place I need to get the books from closes at 4:30pm and I would have been waiting till around 4pm. I don't know if I can walk to the university in less than 30min. So it's kind of frustrating. I wonder what happened to my ride? I guess I'll find out in the morning since there's no message here now.
