Work and stuff
Mar. 1st, 2003 12:58 pmI haven't had much of a chance to update recently. I was at Tollgate last Wed. for the same teacher of course. Thankfully he has new students with the new term. I found two of his classes were great, especially the combination class, that was awesome. The last period class......oy. Every student refused to do any work whatsoever and only played on the computers. I wasn't sure what all to do with an entire class refusing. Being last period and limited work for them to do, I decided to just pester them to do work and try to keep a lid on the situation. Behaviour problems galore in other words. I can't let that happen because it makes me look REALLY bad if that happens and I can get in trouble for it, so when the period was over I talked to the principal about it (I was also to get an evaluation done but another fight stopped that *ggrr*) for what he'd prefer was done so I know what to do next time. But, I know that class will hate me from now on since the principal was going to call all of them to the office the next day (Thursday) to talk with them. And given how often I've been in for this guy, I'll be back in the future and it'll be messy. Oh well.
I also worked on Friday at Waterford. Filled in for a drama teacher since the Sears festival was yesterday. Basically I watched movies for those three periods (The Trouble with Harry (A Hitchcock movie) for two periods and Arsenic and Old Lace for the third period). This one of those rare chances where I may have had the last period off, but alas, with about 30s left in the third period the principal came by and asked me to do some supervision duties in fourth period. So I had the first half of fourth off and supervision in the second half of students writing tests in the resource room. No biggie. Odd thing though: the teacher I filled in for, I saw her at the beginning of the day while she was organizing everything to get loaded up and such. Well, she's just like a friend of the family I know from the area as well. The voice, mannerisms and she even looked like her. Kinda freaky.
I visited with a friend last night and got a copy of a game I'm interested in trying. Hopefully I'll be able to do multiplayer soon with it. Just gotta play with it a bit first.
