A girl aged two spent two days alone in an apartment with her dead grandfather, too young to know what to do after the old man died suddenly, German police said Wednesday. Neighbours in the small town of Hemme, in Germany's far north, said they noticed nothing during that time. The dead man's son showed up at the apartment Saturday and freed the girl. She had found dry bread in the home to eat while she was trapped.
