Early morning wake-ups
Jan. 15th, 2001 04:00 pmGah! Getting up early in the morning after being up late most of the weekend because you couldn't sleep is not my idea of fun. The only good thing about this is that I don't have to take a bus to the school because I get a ride in with a friend's parents. This ride really helps me out in several ways including saving a lot of money in bus fares so I'm really happy about that.
Doing this education internship is going to be a lot of fun I think. I really like helping people learn, and in teaching I can do that on a large scale. The internship lasts until easter and it will requires a lot of work on my part, but I'm still looking forward to it. I probably won't stay in this province to teach for a number of reasons, but I'm not burning any bridges either. I just figure moving back home will help me out financially so I can pay off my massive student loans a little bit faster.
I have a lot of possibilities for my future work options, so I may not decide on any one province any time soon. Being able to teach science/math makes me very portable and lets me work in just about any school district I feel like working in ;) In the meantime, I plan on trying to have a lot of fun doing this internship and the summer term because it will probably be the last time I see many of the friends I've made in the education program with everyone heading off in various directions. We all have different plans for the future that will take us to almost all parts of Canada.
